President Barrow hosts Senegalese military delegation at State House
Gambian President Adama Barrow has received, on Friday August 27, the Senegalese Chief of Defence Staff, General Cheikh Wade and other senior Senegalese Military officials at the State House in Banjul.
Following his audience with President Barrow, General Wade stated that he was in country to meet with the Senegalese ECOMIG contingent.
He further noted that the peace and security of The Gambia and Senegal is one of the most essential components in the two sisterly nations’ relations.
General Wade commended President Barrow his accommodating leadership style and for giving him and his delegation necessary audience as The Gambia-Senegal bond is growing stronger, particularly in the area of security and defence.
Notable dignitary present at the meeting was the Chief of Defence Staff of The Gambia Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Yankuba Drammeh.
