In an exclusive interview with Africa Parrot and New York Parrot newspapers, Toure Mouloukou Souleymane, a prominent member of the Sekoutoureisme Movement and advisor to Fonike Mengue, expressed grave concern over the disappearance of opposition leaders Oumar Sylla, Fonike Mengue, and Mamadou Billo Bah. The three activists were detained by the military seven days ago, and their current whereabouts remain unknown.

Souleymane described the current situation in Guinea Conakry as “extremely dire,” with the military allegedly perpetrating human rights abuses and terrorizing citizens. “We are witnessing a climate of fear and intimidation, with the military disregarding the rule of law and targeting anyone who speaks out against them,” he said.

Souleymane emphasized the urgent need for international intervention, appealing to the global community to “help us secure the release of our friends and restore democratic order in Guinea Conakry.” He stressed that the situation is not only a humanitarian crisis but also a threat to the country’s stability and democratic institutions.
