Mongolia, Bahrain seek to strengthen bilateral ties

The talks, which align with Mongolia’s foreign policy goal of strengthening ties with Gulf countries, highlighted shared interests in various sectors.
Prime Minister Luvsannamsrai emphasized the importance of collaboration, stating, “Bahrain is a country with a rich culture and history, and Mongolia sees great potential for mutually beneficial partnerships in areas such as mineral resources, renewable energy, and urban development.” He also noted that Mongolia’s ambitious plan to implement 14 mega development projects from 2024 to 2028 provides an opportunity to foster stronger economic and social ties.
Both leaders agreed on the importance of joint efforts in combating climate change and addressing desertification. Crown Prince Salman expressed optimism about the partnership, saying, “This dialogue opens a new chapter for Bahrain and Mongolia to work together in addressing global challenges and driving sustainable development.”
The two sides also stressed the value of private sector collaboration. “Our chambers of commerce can play a pivotal role in enhancing trade and investment, Luvsannamsrai remarked, calling for initiatives to boost business interactions between the two nations. Crown Prince Salman added, “Strengthening ties between our business communities will unlock new opportunities for growth and innovation.”
In addition to economic collaboration, the leaders discussed education and cultural exchange. “Education is a bridge that connects nations,” the Mongolian Prime Minister said, highlighting the need for joint educational initiatives and mutual support.
The meeting signals a commitment to forging stronger ties and advancing joint projects in key sectors, setting the stage for expanded cooperation between Mongolia and Bahrain.
