Syrian sources have accused the United States military and its allied Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) of seizing advanced air defense systems from the Syrian Army in a raid on a barracks in Deir Ezzor.

Local media reports indicate that the equipment was transported out of the area using large military trucks, with the final destination remaining unknown.

“The US occupiers and their partners have intensified their looting of Syrian military assets,” a Syrian military source claimed, emphasizing that such operations have been ongoing for the past two weeks.

The reports suggest a broader campaign targeting Syrian Army bases and barracks in the northern and eastern regions of the country. “These actions are a blatant violation of Syria’s sovereignty,” another source stated, adding that the theft of advanced weaponry could destabilize an already fragile region.

The Syrian government has long accused the United States of exploiting the country’s internal strife, which began with the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s government. “This is not just theft; it’s an act of aggression that undermines Syria’s ability to defend itself,” the source said.

The U.S. has yet to comment on these allegations, but the move adds to growing tensions in the region, where foreign powers and local factions continue to vie for control amid ongoing instability and infighting.
