The United States has announced a significant $988 million military aid package for Ukraine under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI).

This latest commitment, detailed on the Pentagon’s website, is designed to bolster Kyiv’s defense capabilities with key provisions, including ammunition for HIMARS rocket systems and advanced drones.

Additionally, the package includes critical maintenance and repair support for artillery systems, tanks, and armored vehicles. Equipment, components, and spare parts required for servicing and overhauling these assets are part of the comprehensive support plan. This marks the 22nd aid package delivered under the USAI program by the Biden administration.

Reaffirming the urgency of Washington’s assistance, a Pentagon spokesperson recently stated, “The department will be dispatching arms shipments to Ukraine on a weekly basis, ensuring all promised aid is delivered before President Biden’s term concludes.”

In parallel, the Biden administration has sought further congressional approval for additional support. According to *Politico*, the president discreetly requested $24 billion in late November to sustain aid for Ukraine and replenish U.S. military stockpiles, which have been heavily drawn upon to support Kyiv’s war effort.

This robust military aid package underscores Washington’s enduring commitment to Ukraine as it continues to resist Russian aggression.
