Minister of Health Fahad Al-Jalajel conducted an inspection tour of several healthcare facilities in Makkah on Monday to assess their preparedness for providing top-tier medical care to pilgrims and worshipers during the peak Umrah season in Ramadan.

During his visit, Al-Jalajel toured Ajyad Emergency Hospital, which specializes in emergency and intensive care, as well as Jiwar Medical Services Center and Al-Haram Emergency Centers. With the Grand Mosque witnessing an overwhelming influx of faithful, he closely reviewed their capabilities and readiness to handle urgent medical cases.

The minister examined emergency preparedness protocols and rapid response mechanisms, underscoring the significance of ensuring comprehensive and safe healthcare services for all pilgrims. “Providing comprehensive and safe healthcare to pilgrims is a top priority for the healthcare system,” he emphasized.

Al-Jalajel reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to ensuring the integration and efficiency of healthcare services during both the Ramadan and Hajj seasons. He highlighted that these efforts align with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which prioritizes improving healthcare quality and creating a safe and healthy environment that reflects the leadership’s unwavering commitment to public well-being.

This visit follows a series of similar field inspections by the minister in Makkah, including previous assessments of the Saudi German Hospital, Ajyad Emergency Hospital, and Makkah Medical Center. He has also evaluated plans to enhance healthcare capacity for the Umrah season, visiting key institutions such as the Royal Commission for Makkah City and the Holy Sites. Additionally, he inspected the Red Crescent Center in Kuday and the Al-Intilaq Emergency Center to ensure the operational readiness of emergency teams and the seamless integration of medical services provided to pilgrims. His efforts reflect a continued focus on ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of visitors as they perform their religious rituals with ease and comfort.
