OIC Member States Deliberate on Reform Roadmap

Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) have intensified discussions on the ongoing reform process of the organization aimed at enhancing its efficiency and strategic focus.

A meeting of the Working Group to review and examine the Roadmap for the OIC Reform Process was held on November 9, 2025, at the OIC General Secretariat, under the chairmanship of H.E. Ambassador Cenk Uraz, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Türkiye to the OIC.

During the session, participants discussed reform-related initiatives designed to strengthen the Organization’s institutional framework and operational effectiveness.

The meeting emphasized adopting a sequential approach in convening follow-up sessions to ensure meaningful and sustainable implementation of reforms.

Delegates also shared perspectives on rationalizing and streamlining the resolutions process to improve coherence, maintain focus on actionable outcomes, and ensure alignment with the OIC’s priorities and mandates.

The Working Group’s recommendations and feedback will be presented to the upcoming meeting of the Committee of Permanent Representatives scheduled for November 30, 2025.
