Trump Announces 10-Day Pause on Energy Plant Strikes Amid Ongoing Talks with Iran

U.S. President Donald Trump has announced a temporary halt to the destruction of energy plants, granting a 10-day pause following a request from the Iranian Government.
In a statement, Trump disclosed that the suspension would last until April 6, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time. He noted that the decision was made to allow room for ongoing negotiations, which he described as progressing positively.

“As per Iranian Government request, please let this statement serve to represent that I am pausing the period of Energy Plant destruction by 10 days to Monday, April 6, 2026, at 8 P.M., Eastern Time,” Trump stated.
He further expressed confidence in the discussions, dismissing contrary reports in the media. “Talks are ongoing and, despite erroneous statements to the contrary by the Fake News Media, and others, they are going very well,” he added.
The development signals a potential easing of tensions, as diplomatic engagements between the parties continue, though no official details of the negotiations have been disclosed.
