In a stunning revelation, the man accused of sucker-punching beloved actor Steve Buscemi last month has a staggering 19-page criminal record, detailing a history of violent crimes and run-ins with the law in multiple states.

Clifton Williams, 50, faced a Manhattan Criminal Court judge today to answer for two assault charges, including the brazen attack on Buscemi, 66, near East 27th Street and Third Avenue on May 8. Just nine minutes prior, Williams allegedly assaulted a 22-year-old man on East 15th Street and Third Avenue.

Prosecutors revealed that Williams’ extensive criminal history spans several years in Kentucky and Florida, with multiple assault charges and attempts to evade police. His rap sheet also includes a recent arrest in March for violating his Kentucky parole.

Williams faces one count of assault in the second degree and two counts of assault in the third degree. He was ordered held on $150,000 cash bail or $75,000 bond and is scheduled to return to court on August 20.

The shocking revelations have left the community reeling, with many calling for justice for Buscemi and the other victims of Williams’ alleged crimes.
