Colorado Springs records serious crash

Fire Department crews have responded to a serious crash in Colorado Springs on the east side of the city.

Colorado Springs Fire Department announced an update on Twitter just before 9 p.m. after receiving a call in at about 8:40 p.m on Tuesday.

At least two vehicles were involved in the intersection of Pikes Peak Avenue and Murray Boulevard with multiple people trapped.

One of the vehicles involved went off the roadway and ended up along a residential fence.

However, everyone trapped in the intersection have been rescued and taken to a nearby hospital, according to report by CSFD at about 9:10 p.m.

Officers on scene confirmed three people were taken to the hospital as the cause of the crash is under investigation.

“On scene of a traffic accident with confirmed trapped parties at Pikes Peak Avenue and Murray Blvd. truck 1at arriving unit,” police tweeted.

According to early report, investigators did not believe alcohol or drugs could cause the crash.
