The Westchester County Chiefs of Police Association and the Office of the Westchester County District Attorney have strongly condemned the violent assault on our nation’s Capitol on January 6.
The attack was condemned in a statement released on Tuesday January 11, 2021.
“We recognize that this is an uncertain and uneasy time in our county and across the country.
“We pledge that law enforcement agencies will continue to protect and serve the people and communities of Westchester County and maintain public safety in a fair and unbiased manner,” the statement reads.
“We also want the people of Westchester to know that law enforcement agencies across the county stand ready and willing to work closely with our federal law enforcement partners on investigations of the insurrection in Washington.
“We send our condolences to the families of Capitol Police Officers Brian D. Sicknick and Howard Liebengood and those who were injured trying to protect the Capitol and its inhabitants,” it adds.
