NY Parrot TV Director wins Azaad International Award for Literature-in-Journalism
The New York Parrot TV Director, Mutiu Olawuyi, has received AAZAAD International Award for Literature-in-Journalism.
The award was received at the 3rd World Poetry Conference jointly organized by AAZAAD Foundation and World Literature India.
The conference which was held virtually at Chandigarh on Sunday June 6, 2021, was themed “Literature in Difficult Times”.
Mutiu Olawuyi, who received the distinguished award for his consistent works in literary Journalism, expressed gratitude for the recognition.
Olawuyi said, “It was actually a surprise to me when I received an email notifying me of the namination for the award. Even though I knew from the outset that I was going on a unique literary journey where no one on earth had toured before me, I never knew that this global recognition would be so fast like this.”
He added, “My love for literature and keen interest in supporting others lured me to this fulfilling literary direction.
“And as I thank God for making me a compassionate creative mind that opens doors for fellow writers through the media, I do appreciate the Azaad Foundation and World Poetry Conference in India for recognizing my borderless effort in the areas of literature and journalism.”
“This is just the beginning. It is another challenge for me to spring up my effort in the promotion of literature and creative writers across the globe. Creative writers too deserve to be heard through conventional media outlets,” Olawuyi concluded.
Olawuyi is the producer and director of Parrot Literary Corner, the only daily TV show in the whole world that provides platform for creative writers around the world.
