NYC Primary Elections: My showing …exceeded the establishment — Caruso-Cabrera
Democratic primary candidate for New York City Comptroller, Michelle Caruso-Cabrera, has reacted to the unofficial election night results.
While expressing her reaction, Caruso-Cabrera stated, “My showing tonight exceeded the establishment and particularly the media’s expectations.”
He added, “I entered the Comptroller’s race just 145 days ago, joining a crowded field of incumbent elected officials, many of whom have been running for Comptroller for years.”
“Despite being outspent by my opponents 2:1, I have built a strong and diverse coalition of New Yorkers.”
She continued that “The fact that I have garnered more first choice votes than even many of the leading contenders in the Mayor’s race, speaks to the appeal of an independent Latina with proven experience and the skillset needed to serve as the city’s top financial officer and watchdog.”
“I look forward to the final results,” she stated.
