Prolonged impeachment trial will impair Cuomo’s ability to govern New York — Fernando Cabrera
New York council member, Fernando Cabrera, has warned that the prolonged impeachment trial of New York Governor, Andrew Cuomo, will impair his ability to “effectively” govern NY.
While disclosing this on Tuesday August 10, 2021, Cabrera stated, “A prolonged impeachment trial would have seriously impaired his ability to effectively govern at a time when New York is facing unprecedented challenges.”
He added, “Facing likely impeachment and removal from Office, Governor Cuomo’s decision to resign was the correct one.”
“I applaud the courage of the 11 Women who came forward to establish a new standard of accountability and acceptable behavior in the workplace,” Cabrera said.
“Now it’s time for all New Yorkers to stand with the incoming Governor Kathy Hocul who in 14 Days will become our States first woman Governor. I urge all New Yorkers to join me in the praying for her success,” the council member concluded.
