Harris releases medical records, challenges Trump’s transparency

Vice President Kamala Harris has publicly released her medical records, calling attention to former President Donald Trump’s lack of transparency on the same issue.

Vice President Kamala Harris has publicly released her medical records, calling attention to former President Donald Trump’s lack of transparency on the same issue. In a sharp critique posted on her Twitter page, Harris wrote, “Today I released my medical records. Donald Trump has not. It’s just a further example of his lack of transparency.”

Harris underscored her concerns about Trump’s fitness for office, pointing to his refusal to engage in debates, his avoidance of a “60 Minutes” interview, and recent reports labeling him as “unstable,” particularly from former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, General Mark Milley. “It is clear to me that he and his team do not want the American people to really see whether or not he actually is fit to do the job of being President of the United States,” Harris added.

The detailed health report, provided by Vice President Harris’ physician, Dr. Jeshua R. Simmons, highlighted her overall fitness, describing her as a healthy 59-year-old woman with mild seasonal allergies and nearsightedness. The report emphasized that Harris is physically and mentally equipped to handle the responsibilities of the presidency.

Trump, who has often faced criticism for his lack of transparency regarding his health and finances, has yet to respond to Harris’ challenge. His campaign has also remained silent on the issue, leaving questions about his willingness to release similar medical information. As the 2024 election draws nearer, Harris’ move underscores the growing scrutiny over both candidates’ fitness for the nation’s highest office.
