Politics: Sorry, Politics by Wansoo Kim
poem of retaining hope in a politically stressful world
Whenever I thought of you,
Anger welled up
And I wanted to grab you by the collar
And beat you to be tired to death
Saying “boaster, swindler”.
But even whenever I spoke ill of you knitting my brows,
I wanted to sing the song of happiness
Eating honey pouring out of your lips
With me just sitting or lying down
I who hoped to fly up like magic
Suddenly some day
Over the fence of hard and exhausting life
Was a foolish and greedy child.
