The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced Tuesday it has completed extensive logistical preparations to ensure that soldiers can observe Passover, even while deployed across active combat zones.

In a sweeping supply operation, the IDF distributed over 100 tons of matzah, 390 tons of beef, 420 tons of chicken, and 64 tons of fish. The festive inventory also included 23 tons of kosher-for-Passover cookies, 13 tons of Passover pasta, 45,000 kilograms of chocolate spread, and a morale-boosting 200,000 popsicles.

“We’re making sure no soldier is left out of the holiday experience,” said officials involved in the effort.

Working closely with the IDF’s Technology and Logistics Division, the Military Rabbinate distributed more than 83,000 Haggadot to enable soldiers to conduct the Seder wherever they are. Special accommodations were also made: 32,000 vegan meals, 8,400 gluten-free meals, 900 kilograms of gluten-free matzah, and 7,700 gluten-free cakes are among the tailored provisions.

Thousands of Passover packages are being delivered to troops stationed in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and Judea and Samaria. The Rabbinate also issued special field-friendly guidelines for observing the holiday under operational conditions.

The operation underscores the IDF’s commitment to maintaining religious and cultural traditions—even on the frontlines.
