NYPAN endorses Maria Ordoñez for Manhattan City Council District 7

Our Revolution and New York Progressive Action Network (NYPAN) has endorsed Maria Ordoñez, for City Council District 7 in Manhattan.

The endorsement was contained in a press release signed by Joseph Geevarghese, executive director of Our Revolution, on Thursday January 27, 2021.

According to the statement, Ordoñez is a dedicated progressive community leader and former delegate for presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.

“This was a key endorsement for the upcoming New York City District 7 race at their 2021 kickoff virtual meeting.

“It’s time for leaders who are committed to tackling the issues that are holding too many New Yorkers back — racism, inequality, lack of quality healthcare, housing, public education and so much more,” said Joseph.

“This will be a transformative year in New York politics. With term limits creating open seats, the city is up for grabs. Our Revolution and NYPAN are launching an aggressive organizing campaign to build progressive power in New York City this year,” Geevarghese added.
