China: Changan unveils $20 million car showroom in Baghdad

As part of its ongoing Middle East growth, Changan Automobile, a Chinese automaker, has built its largest global flagship car showroom in Baghdad.
Prominent Iraqi leaders, including cabinet members, the Ministers of Transportation and Energy, attended the ceremonial inauguration.
In addition to opening its biggest showroom in Saudi Arabia, Changan Automobile is creating a big impression with its recently constructed Dora Sales and Service Complex, which is prominently situated in southern Baghdad along the well-known Dora Highway.

The facility, which cost more than $20 million to build, occupies more than 39,000 square meters and has a 4,000 square meter display space.
Adjacent to it is a 5,000 square meter spare parts warehouse with three levels that makes sure components are distributed throughout Iraq effectively. In addition, a 9,000 square meter service area with 40 lift stations is available to cater to the post-purchase servicing requirements of clients in Baghdad and the neighboring regions.
Changan Automobile and the ALBAKHET Group, an Iraqi distributor that has been specializing in the import and sale of automobiles since 1997, have a strong working relationship since Changan Automobile entered the Iraqi market in 2018.
“Changan is one of the leading manufacturers, with an annual sales volume of 2.8 million units,” said Xiao Feng, General Manager of Changan Automobile’s Middle East and Africa Division. “Today, we are excited to witness the opening of Changan’s largest facility worldwide.”
