In a recent statement, the White House pledged continued support, stating, “We won’t stop until the job is done.”
As of October 15, over $549.8 million in assistance has been allocated to survivors, while FEMA has approved $15 million in individual assistance and $604 million for debris removal and public safety measures. Federal efforts have delivered over 12.6 million meals and liters of water to affected states, underscoring the scale of the response.
Shelters are gradually seeing fewer occupants, with 21 facilities still housing over 2,000 people—down from nearly 13,000 last Friday. As more residents return home or secure temporary housing, federal aid continues to flow, supporting the long road to recovery.
