Iran vows ‘regret-inducing’ response to Israeli strike

Brigadier General Ali Fadavi, Deputy Commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), vowed that Iran would respond forcefully to Israel’s latest aerial strike, which targeted multiple military sites in Iran’s Tehran, Khuzestan, and Ilam provinces.
The strike, carried out on October 26, reportedly resulted in five Iranian casualties, including one civilian, and violated the country’s national sovereignty.
“We will definitely give a regret-inducing response to this Israeli measure,” Fadavi declared, speaking from Qom on Wednesday. “During its more than 45-year existence, the Islamic Revolution has not left any vicious act unanswered.”
The comments came during a commemoration for Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and other prominent figures of the Lebanese Resistance movement Hezbollah, who have maintained a close alliance with Tehran. Underscoring Iran’s longstanding support for Hezbollah and the wider Resistance Front, Fadavi urged individuals to contribute to the fight against perceived regional enemies, including the United States.
The strike, which Iran said occurred using US-controlled airspace over Iraq, reportedly saw some Israeli missiles intercepted. Iran remains resolute in pursuing what it calls its “right to respond” to this aggression.
