Supporters of Donald Trump gathered in anticipation of a major victory in Florida on election night, with many believing the former president was on the brink of reclaiming the White House.
At the Palm Beach County Convention Centre, attendees, ranging from men in formal suits to women in elegant dresses, celebrated with Trump’s signature red “Make America Great Again” hats proudly displayed.
“I feel like Trump has won this election. This is over, and I feel like the world’s about to be much greater,” said Moses Abraham, 22, summing up the optimistic mood.

Trump’s surge in Florida, a crucial battleground state, pushed him closer to a potential victory over Democratic challenger Kamala Harris. “This is like 2016. I feel we are on the same path to win. I feel very optimistic about tonight. Donald Trump is the perfect fit for America,” said Jo Ann Poly Calvo, a fervent supporter.
For many, Florida has become a symbolic base of operations for Trump, especially as he faces multiple legal challenges in his home state of New York. His residence in the state, the Mar-a-Lago estate, serves as both his home and a members’ club in the heart of this Republican stronghold.
While some attendees at the Palm Beach gathering expressed anxiety over a tight race, the mood remained largely optimistic. Rocco Talarico, 68, wearing a “MAGA” cap and a leather vest emblazoned with Trump’s name, expressed confidence in the outcome. “We need that because our country right now has no borders, our crime is bad, our stock market is bad, and our gas and food prices are high. Kamala (Harris) did nothing for four years,” he said.
Others, like Mike McCormack, 50, were even more critical of Harris. “I don’t feel Donald Trump could be influenced from outside as much, and I strongly believe that Harris is actually controlled and manipulated. I have no faith in her,” McCormack said, reflecting the deep skepticism many in the crowd felt about the current administration.
McCormack also voiced concerns about election integrity, a theme Trump has repeatedly raised, suggesting that voter fraud could undermine the legitimacy of the polls. “I have some confidence in this election (but) not a whole lot. There have been some suspicious things happening. People have been arrested and convicted of voter fraud. So, I don’t know,” he added.
As election results continue to come in, Trump supporters in Florida remain hopeful, with many believing their candidate is poised for a political comeback.
