Zambia has extended visa-free entry to an additional 53 countries, bringing the total number of nations exempt from visa requirements to 167.
This move is part of the Zambian government’s strategy to enhance its global economic presence and attract more international tourists and investors.
“The visa waiver is a direct response to President Hichilema’s call for Zambia to diversify its economy and attract international visitors. By lowering barriers to entry, the Government is not only aiming to increase the number of tourists but also to create new opportunities for trade and investment,” the Zambian government stated.
The newly added countries include Albania, Argentina, Iceland, Israel, Switzerland, Turkey, and Ukraine, among others. This expansion follows a similar waiver granted to 43 countries in 2022, reflecting Zambia’s ongoing commitment to becoming a key player in the global tourism and trade sectors.
