Trump blasts Michigan Gov Whitmer, orders reopening of businesses
The United States President Donald Trump has blasted Michigan Governor, Gretchen Whitmer, for closing down businesses in the state.
While saying this on his Facebook page on Thursday October 8, 2020, Trump condemned the way Whitmer locked the state. He said all businesses were shut, her husband’s boating activities.
He stressed that it was wrong for Whitmer to carry such a step without considering the people in the state.
Trump said, “Governor Whitmer of Michigan has done a terrible job. She locked down her state for everyone, except her husband’s boating activities.”
He added that the Federal Government provided tremendous help to the Great People of Michigan.
He reiterated that “The US justice department and federal law enforcement announced today that they foiled a dangerous plot against the Governor of Michigan.”
While criticizing the governor for not appreciating all his effort at protecting people of Michigan, Trump said he would not tolerate any extreme violence.
“Rather than say thank you, she calls me a White Supremacist—while Biden and Democrats refuse to condemn Antifa, Anarchists, Looters and Mobs that burn down Democrat run cities.
“I do not tolerate any extreme violence. Defending all Americans, even those who oppose and attack me, is what I will always do as your President,” Trump said.
Meanwhile, the Democratic presidential candidate, Joe Biden, joined Michigan Gov to condemn Trump’s action.
According to Biden, Trump has not done enough to condemn white supremacists.
“The words he utters matters,” Biden said.
“Why won’t the president just say ‘stop. Stop, stop, stop.’ And if we will pursue you if you don’t,” he added.
