Kyrgyzstan loses 3-0 to UAE in World Cup qualifier

The Kyrgyzstan national football team faced a tough 3-0 loss against the UAE in the fifth round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, with UAE scoring twice in the first half and sealing their win with a third goal in the final minutes of regular time.

Kyrgyzstan’s coach expressed disappointment, saying, “We had several chances to close the gap, but we couldn’t capitalize. The team fought hard, but UAE took advantage of our missed opportunities.”

A Kyrgyzstan team player also voiced frustration after the match. “We played with heart, but our finishing let us down,” he said. “We need to regroup and learn from this loss.”

This marks Kyrgyzstan’s fourth defeat in the qualifiers, and they now face a formidable opponent in Group leader Iran on November 19. “We’re not giving up,” said the coach. “The game against Iran is our chance to prove we can compete at this level.”
