Algeria and the United States solidified their military partnership on Wednesday by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on military cooperation.
The agreement was finalized during a meeting in Algiers between General Said Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (PNA), and General Michael Langley, Commander of US Africa Command (AFRICOM).
The MoU marks a step forward in defense and security collaboration, with both sides highlighting the positive momentum in their bilateral relations.
General Langley expressed his commitment to deepening the partnership, commending the “multidimensional coordination” between the two nations.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for both generals to review the current state of military cooperation and exchange views on issues of shared interest, reflecting the growing strategic alignment between Algeria and the United States.
