Israeli tanks breached the border fence in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights early Sunday, signaling a significant escalation in the region. Al Manar reported that the Israeli military announced the start of a ground invasion into southern Syria.

“The Israeli aggression is a blatant violation of Syria’s sovereignty and international law,” a Syrian government official stated, condemning the incursion as a deliberate provocation.

Zionist media confirmed the deployment, reporting that “the army tanks crossed into the Golan Heights early in the morning.” Analysts have described the move as a calculated response to the shifting dynamics in Syria.

The incursion coincides with rapid political and military developments in the country, with terrorist factions reportedly seizing control of Damascus. A Syrian military source commented, “This aggression comes at a time when our forces are stretched thin, battling terrorist groups supported by foreign powers.”

Israeli media further highlighted the large-scale arrival of occupying forces in the Quneitra area, a strategic location in southern Syria. “The movement into Quneitra signals a decisive shift in our approach to the region,” an unnamed Israeli military official was quoted as saying.

The situation has drawn widespread concern. A Middle Eastern affairs expert noted, “This is not just about southern Syria; it’s about reshaping the geopolitical landscape of the region.”

As tensions escalate, both sides brace for potential consequences that could further destabilize the already volatile region.
