Bronx Borough President, Latino Community leader, endorses Eric Adams for mayoral race
The Bronx Borough President, Ruben Diaz, who is also a Latino community leader, has endorsed Eric Adams for the Bronx Borough mayoral race.
While disclosing this via his Facebook page on Sunday April 25, 2021, Eric Adams said, Diaz “is the city’s strongest, most effective leader.
“On behalf of the Bronx and Latino New Yorkers, I’m honored to have his support,” Adams said.
He added, “Ruben and I are from different boroughs, but we come from the same place, and together, we’ll fight to make this City fairer for all.”
Commenting about the endorsement, a New Yorker, Emma Fitzsimmons, wrote via her Twitter page that, the Bronx borough president’s endorsement will help Adams with Latino voters.
She added that he will also help Bronx residents as he works to assemble a diverse coalition to defeat Andrew Yang.
