Saudi offers 21,000 citizens scholarships in US, prepares to send students to Ivy League Universities

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has offered not less than 21, 000 Saudis scholarships in the United States.

This announcement is made as the kingdom prepares to send students to Ivy League Universities.

According to a report on Monday September 26, 2022, the number of Saudi students on scholarships in the US has reached 20,954.

The US is among the targeted countries per the new strategy of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques program for scholarships launched by Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman.

Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad Al Sheikh, disclosed this during his visit to the Saudi Cultural Mission in the US.

During the visit, he met with Saudi students on scholarships, in the presence of the cultural attaché at the Kingdom’s embassy in the United States, Dr. Fawzi Bukhari, and a number of the Mission’s employees.

During the meeting, the minister extended appreciation for the leadership’s unwavering support for the education and scholarship sector.

He emphasized that ‘the ministry is working to strengthen the existing partnership between the Kingdom and the US in numerous fields of education and research.”

The minister expressed his delight to meet Saudi students studying in American universities.

He emphasized that Saudi Arabia is proud of its sons and daughters who are on scholarships and looks forward to their contributions to the Kingdoms advancement on all levels and fields after they graduate and earn their degrees.

He stated that the students on scholarship reflect an honorable image of their religion, country, and society, adding that they are the best ambassadors for the Kingdom in the scholarship country, wishing success to all male and female students on scholarships around the world.

The meeting’s agenda includes informing the minister of the conditions of students on scholarships and students studying at their own expense in the US, the most prominent challenges and issues facing them, as well as a review of their most important initiatives.
