Pedestrian killed, one other injured by hit-and-run driver in Brooklyn
One pedestrian has been killed and another injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Brooklyn.
According to a police report on Friday March 3, 2023, the pedestrian, a woman died, and the injured man is in the hospital.
Officers confirmed that the two victims were going through a crosswalk when a red pickup truck hit them.
The driver didn’t stay and took off on Mermaid Avenue.
A 41-year-old woman was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead. An 18-year-old man is recovering in stable condition, police say.
The incident happened just before 9 p.m. at West 24th Street and Mermaid Avenue in Coney Island.
