Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister holds High-level meetings with British officials
Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Waleed Elkhereiji, convened with several high-ranking British officials on Monday. The meetings aimed to foster and strengthen the cooperative ties between Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom across various domains.
One of the key meetings took place with Lord Tariq Ahmad, who serves as the Minister of State for the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia, and the United Nations in the UK. The discussions centered on the existing cooperation between the two nations and explored opportunities for further development and enhancement in diverse areas of mutual interest.
In another noteworthy meeting, Elkhereiji sat down with Andrew Mitchell, the British Minister of State for Development and Africa. The duo deliberated on strategies to bolster the bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and the UK in diverse sectors, with a particular focus on economic and developmental collaboration. They also explored ways to align these efforts with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2023, with the ultimate aim of achieving sustainable development goals for both countries.
Furthermore, the Deputy Foreign Minister engaged in talks with Sarah MacIntosh, the Deputy National Security Adviser for International Affairs in the UK. In this session, they reviewed the cooperation ties between the two kingdoms and addressed prominent regional and global developments of shared concern, along with the ongoing collaborative endeavors in response to these challenges.
The meetings were graced by the presence of prominent representatives from Saudi Arabia, including Prince Khalid Bin Bandar, the Saudi Ambassador to the UK, and Prince Saad Bin Mansour Bin Saad, the Director General of the General Administration for European Countries at the Foreign Ministry.
