French President Emmanuel Macron has called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the urgent release of all hostages, following the tragic discovery of six hostages killed by Hamas. Macron expressed his “shock and indignation” in a post on X (formerly Twitter), where he conveyed his condolences to the victims’ families.

“There must be an immediate ceasefire and the release of all hostages, including [French-Israeli captives] Ohad Yahalomi and Ofer Kalderon,” Macron urged, making a direct appeal for the release of the two French-Israeli citizens among those held captive.

“The war must stop,” the French leader emphasized, underscoring the urgent need for an end to the ongoing conflict that has claimed countless lives and exacerbated tensions in the region. Macron’s call reflects growing international pressure for a resolution to the crisis, as the humanitarian toll continues to mount.
