UAE announces 2,721 new COVID-19 cases, 1,666 recoveries
The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has announced 2,721 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 396,771.
The announcement was made after it conducted 225,159 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.
According to the statement released on Tuesday, the ministry stated that the infected individuals, from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care.
“Not less than 15 deaths have been reported due to COVID-19 complications. This brings the total number of deaths in the country to 1,253,” the statement reads.
The ministry urged all members of the society to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and physical distance to ensure the health and safety of all.
MoHAP also noted that an additional 1,666 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 383,998.
