A private school in the Gambia, Smart Kids Academy, has donated crutches, wheelchairs and other materials to health centres in the country.

Disclosing this via his official Facebook page on Wednesday September 8, 2021, the school owner, Ebrima M Njie, stated that the gesture was part of his effort to contribute to his country’s health sector.

In his words, “I received a container from Germany last month with donation of school materials. I deemed it to share the health materials with some health centres around us.”

The materials donated to the health centre

He said the container was donated by Pro Kids Gambia Organization, a non-profit organization based in Germany, Brandenburg.

“Among the donated materials were several crutches, wheelchairs, eye lens glasses, surgical masks, and other equipment,” he said.

He explained that he donated to the nearest health center to contribute to the health sector.

“In addition, these materials will be of less significant if kept at the school,” he said
