Introspection by Monalisa Parida
Poem by Monalisa Parida celebrates the wonder and strength of womanhood.
I struggled so deeply,
In search of an answer
What was wrong being a girl?
But I failed again and again.
Desires dead, unfulfilled.
Some were obdurate and were killed.
I fell,
I crashed,
I broke,
I cried,
I was hurt,
And then……
I rose again
Under a cerulean sky
Where sublime beauty
Reflected my pristine soul
I nurtured there,
With plethora of love and affection
Where idols of Goddesses aren’t worshipped.
But live deities are!
