This upcoming income tax season will be a special one. We celebrate 25 years of ” Financial Focus“, our current financial byline

But a short story. It never was!. Financial Focus started out, in 1997 as ” The Problem Solver” a Client only ” newsletter” , from our firm.

In 1998, a few New York City local newspapers picked it up and asked to use it as a  Financial “article“.

In 1999, we expanded ” The Problem Solver” into Client only Personal Finance “workbooks“.

By 2001, our ” article” expanded into NYC metro newspapers as well as Financial Magazines , even Business Radio.

So by 2007, one of our newspaper relationship’s says, ” you should change the byline”?.

 Personally,I  loved,  ” The Problem Solver”. However, my other  3 partners , along with the suggestion of the newspaper Editor in Chief, agreed it should be renamed, Financial Focus

Yes, I was outvoted, and 14 years, later, were still here , and expanding, to now, the 21st century of financial education.

Starting , December 1st , our firm has created what we call: a Financial Focus nucleas of digital tools;

 TV, School & Webinars.

We call it: Financial Focus Learning Center. And our Launch is NOW! And our first personal finance focus: The upcoming Income Tax Season, 2021.

TV: We are creating a pre- recorded studio of weekly news broadcasts for financial information, tips & strategies , ” how to” video briefs on personal finance and wonderful 3rd party correspondence from Bloomberg & CNBC . We call it Financial Focus TV!. Some recordings include

  • Tax planning vs Tax Preparation
  • How to Learn your itemized deductions
  • What is the new Child Care Credit?
  • 2021 Tax Credits

School- Our new ” Financial Focus University” is an educational palace of pre-recorded audio , video– or LIVE classes on the tenats of personal finance; from budgeting, savings, debt, insurance, taxes, education, investment, retirement & estate planning. Starting this week, we will be offering different classes on ” Income Tax Planning”.

Webinars- Starting in January, We will be holding weekly , ” Party of 4″ LIVE webinars on Personal Finance. Starting in January, we talk taxes!. You must RSVP to attend. Coming soon; our First Webinar:

And how do you get all this information? No , not a website!. No not social media!. Have email? That’s where it all starts!

Since 2007, I guess I must say I’m wrong! The name Financial Focus is working out fine. For 24 years now, starting as a ” newsletter” going into “workbooks“,  rebranding into an ” article” and now a learning center, right in your own email, that can provide you TV, Classes & Webinars!. We are proud!
