UK Prime Minister, Liz Truss, resigns
The United Kingdom Prime Minister, Liz Truss, has announced his resignation after a month and half in office.
According to a report, the announcement was made 24 hours after describing herself as a fighter and not a quitter.
Truss succeeds Boris Johnson who resigned from his appointment as PM in July over a series of scandals.
Liz Truss is awaiting a successor in the next week.
Stating the reason for her resignation on Thursday October 20, 2022, Truss said her decision followed a rising chorus of members of her own Conservative Party calling for her resignation.
